Bass W. Chadwick, Esquire
Principal/Founder
Professional Background and Credentials
I earned my Juris Doctor from Charleston School of Law and completed advanced graduate-level training in tax and estate planning through an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown Law, along with a Certificate in Estate Planning. This academic foundation allows me to approach estate planning and probate matters with a strong understanding of tax considerations, fiduciary responsibilities, and long-term planning implications.
Prior to founding Chadwick Estate Law, I trained and practiced at an Am Law 100 law firm, where I worked on sophisticated tax, trust, and estate matters involving individuals, families, and fiduciaries. That experience informs my detail-oriented and practical approach to both estate planning and estate administration.
I am admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and focus my practice exclusively on estate planning and probate and estate administration.
Who I Help
I work with Pennsylvania individuals and families who want clarity and peace of mind around estate planning, as well as executors and loved ones who find themselves overwhelmed after a death and unsure where to begin. Clients often come to me when they realize their planning is outdated or incomplete, or when they have been named executor and are suddenly responsible for navigating a legal process they have never encountered before.
Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who simply want clear guidance and a reliable plan. Others are dealing with grief while also facing urgent administrative responsibilities. In both situations, my goal is to provide calm, practical legal support that allows clients to move forward with confidence.
My Approach
Estate planning and probate matters should feel clear rather than intimidating. I focus on explaining the process in plain language, identifying potential issues early, and tailoring each plan to the realities of the client’s family and financial circumstances.
Whether we are planning ahead or administering an estate, I emphasize thoughtful preparation, careful execution, and steady communication throughout the process. Clients regularly tell me they value a straightforward approach that prioritizes clarity, responsiveness, and practical solutions over unnecessary complexity.

Why This Matters for You
When estate planning documents are unclear or incomplete, or when an estate is not administered properly, families can face unnecessary stress, delays, and conflict. My role is to help clients avoid those outcomes by providing thoughtful planning and careful guidance at each stage of the process.
Clients leave our work together with a clear understanding of their plan or their responsibilities as executor, along with the confidence that important details have been addressed. Whether you are planning for the future or managing an estate after a loss, my objective is to make the legal process manageable and to help you move forward with clarity and peace of mind.
Location and Service Area
I am based in Wayne, Pennsylvania, and serve clients throughout the greater Philadelphia area, including Montgomery, Delaware, Chester, and surrounding counties.
